Brother John, I have been trying to email you the reunion pictures that I have, but every time I send them they are returned.  AOL and your server have never gotten along... anyway do you have an alternate address I can send these pictures/videos to?

Kingston - you can send them to Tom K. (click here) as I think his server will take them and then he can upload them for me...(that should do it..)  Thanks!

Uncle George has also sent more photo's in the album up top......John

Good Morning ALL,
I find it hard to believe it is over a month since we were all together. It was such great fun. Life is finally returning to normal-I went back to work this week. I had taken the summer off.
Burning Questions---Mary Leslie –how is your thesis coming a long?
Kevin V—how are surviving your first month—non-stop action according to the news.
Mary W. —When are you going to NB and when will you get to Calgary?
Cathy –how did the animals survive and are you as busy as ever?
Brenda –we need to talk more –what is your phone number?
John V—What is happening with the young woman you told us about earlier?
George W—How is sweet little Joe and how is your move going?
Patty—Are you still going for coffee every morning –I think of you often.
Bernie—How is your group and family work in adoption going?
Kingston V---How is the transfer of photos going? —Are you hiding out in the bushes.
For All—How are you doing –please update me.

Thanks again John V for maintaining this wonderful way to keep connected.

(You're most welcome Anne Marie and as to the Ms. Loggie issue, I will take effort this week and attempt to arrange lunch..:) John V)

Mary-Ellen,

In fact my birthday is the 29th of September. 44 this year.  Anne-Marie, the non-stop action has been quite a change.  I am working with the fisheries officers and feel like Peter denying Christ if you know what I mean.  Ally, Billy George Kingston?? neeeveeeer heard of them.

Hi all,

John Kingston...how on earth did you ever come up with that Gill Net message posting tally?  You could not possibly have gone through the whole thing since it's inception and COUNTED everyone's posts.  HOW DID YOU DO THAT??????

John Vickers, we got internet cable on Saturday...UN-FREAKIN-BELIEVABLE!!! :-D  It's so fast!  Jack and I have each had our own server for years (to keep individual mail organized)at about $25.00 a month each plus $10.00 a month for an extra phone line.  That totals $60.00 per month.  Time Warner Roadrunner Cable is $40.00/mo. with the capablility for 8 individual mail centers in Outlook Express. Jack unloaded Earthlink and Netscape yesterday and now all that is left is for me to wean myself off Compuserve. :-((  I've nad CSI for 4 years!  New e-mail addys are maryweissler@wi.rr.com and jkaestner@wi.rr.com.

Well Mary I am not sure I should tell you all my secrets.... Well OK.  I copied the email messages from each month's web page into MS Excel and then wrote a bit of Visual Basic code to search for "@". After a bit of massaging I had everyone's email address and a count of the number of times they posted.  At the moment I am trying to import the addresses into an Outlook Contacts folder which I can send to everyone.  Right now I have it in an Excel spreadsheet.

So in a way I went through every email but not quite!

BTW, isn't a cable modem connection just the best?  It actually enabled my family to use the Internet and email. Before it was just too slow and cumbersome.  Now it rocks.

Hi everyone,

I am so excited!!  Tomorrow I will be a free woman set loose in the City of Halifax for the weekend with two of my friends that I began my career with-- one who I have not seen in 7 years... Of course, we are now old, respectable, career mothers so we will probably not be able to keep our old pace but, boy, it will be fun trying. Yipeee!!!

Message from Brenda MacKinnon at brenda.mackinnon2@ns.sympatico.ca:

Hi all:

Well, Kevin, I did chuckle when you said you felt like Peter denying Christ! Hopefully, the fisheries officer is too young or too unconnected to know the Kingston history re "the salmon fishery".

BTW, Dad was telling me last night (and I think I have this correct) that Grandmother's sister(is it Cleophas) is visiting your Dad and Mom this week sometime.  She is about 90 and lives in the U.S. and will be visiting with her son.  Is this correct or did Dad have the connection wrong?  Why would they not know her?

I find this very interesting.....particularly I didn't know we had any great aunts still living.

Bye for now and love to all,
Brenda

Will forwarded me this photo via email he received taken during the recent fires in Montana - pretty amazing....jv

>'LIVE FROM NEW YORK IT'S THE GILL NET LODGE!<

Holy cow John!  If you get this job (and I'm sure you will) might you be moving to NYC?  It's hard to imagine 100's of pumpkins jammed onto a few windowsills of a Manhattan brownstone!  Pretty exciting stuff though. :-D

By all means give a holler when you pass through this neck of the woods.  It would be great if we could get together...but you're prolly just switching planes in a hurry? (414) 962-0627

Just so y'all know, my free time has been fairly consumed with breed rescue lately.  I am now the regional coordinator for Miniature Pinscher Rescue in WI and MN and am working on two fairly difficult cases at the moment.  So...if you don't hear from me for a stretch know that I am working on finding homes for babies in need.

Mary W.

(Speaking of pumpkins, a lady walking her dog knocked on my door last night and asked, "You having your pumpkins out this year??"  It's starting already..! :) jv)
