Happy New Year John,

The pictures are wonderful---Just don't pay too much attention to my baby brother, his brain has difficulty functioning in the frigid air of northern BC. By the way are you on ICQ?

Thanks for your kind words of support. It's nice to know I have a big sister I can count on.

John, those pictures look great! Keep up the good work and your paychecks for 1999 will remain unchanged from 1998.

John,

You have done an amazing amount of work since I was last here. I especially like the links on http://www.tomkingston.com/r/link04.html. There's a lot of information there. I was looking for my social insurance number.

Your web page is really taking shape now.... I liked the addition of the New Brunswick flag. Where did you get it? Post the url in the guest book.

Hi!

I took a look at the new addition of the site. I was amazed to see all the work done on each family.
It says Aunt Ann Marie's ashes were spread over Ox Brook. Can someone tell me where this is?
I always thought her ashes were put into Trout Brook....

Hi, everybody! Aunt Carmel here.

Mary showed me the reunion web site ( I think that's what you call it ) today. I think it's great that all you cousins are talking back and forth. How about hearing from some of the aunts and uncles? I'll look forward to checking in again and thank you, John for all your work - just don't get so busy that you forget to hold on to your water glass!

Hello from the Miramichi!!

I just looked at the web page for the first time last night and again with Mom today. You're doing a great job, John. It's certainly loads of fun seeing the comments and conundrums of Kingston relatives as they check the site out.

I'm really looking forward to the reunion and even though it's early, feel free to post any suggestions or requests you might have for activities and gear, additional accommodations, etc. With the number of people coming, I might as well be generally thinking about rounding up or building picnic tables, canoes, life jackets, tents, barbecues, inner tubes, musical equipment, lobster and, of course, BEER, sooner rather than later (I'll do my best with the Bailey's too, Cathy.).

By the way, the Kingston "elders" have been insisting, against my protests, that there should b

I'll look forward to checking in again and will ask others to do the same - take care everybody!

Great hearing from you both. .It was so wonderful visiting the reunion site this past summer when I was home.  It really is a great place to hold the reunion considering all the surrounding grounds, etc.

Hi folks,

Great to have this web site. I visited it a few times over the Christmas break and especially like the story about Grandmother's & Grandfather's courtship.

Since I was quite young when Grandfather died, and didn't get to know Grandmother as well as I would have liked to, I am wondering if we could have a section of the site where people could share little stories about them. I would really like to get to know them better. Just a thought...ME

Hi John,

Great to see your web site finally and am most impressed. I will forward along a couple of text files with background on family (Uncle George has all this somewhere) and a "Grandmother" story for Mary Ellen (I think Dad would have shot me if I called her Grams or Grammie) shortly.

I am hoping to head home in the next month or 2 with Spencer and will dig for some family pictures from the past (anyone around home please feel free to raid Mom's vast photo collection).

I have got to look up Kevin (I think he's about 15-20 min from where I live in Gloucester and got his email address from Uncle George). Any ways, gotta run. All the best.

Tommy, good New Year's Story! Thanks for the note Mary (from the pics on the site, I am totally impressed with your place - nice shack!) Mary Ellen please pass along JoAnne's email or phone in Manitoba, thanks.

Steve Kingston

Please note there is an "E" on the end of Anne !!! Our aunt was an ANN Marie and I'm an ANNE Marie !!! I know this is a challenge as we all get used to one way.

It is quite exciting how this site is evolving.  It is so great to see the words and thoughts of cousins and aunts-uncles who I haven't seen in years.  I can hardly wait to have discussions with everyone on the topics of the world. We all have had different experiences with the exception of the Miramichi.  Everyone knows and feels connected to as my Dad says "God's Country". Love hearing from you all!!

Anne Marie

Wow John, you are doing a lot of great work. Glad to see all the comments. Where do you get all your images? I especially like the flags. I want to add it to my web site. For anyone who cares to have a look it is at http://members.home.net/john.kingston/index.htm There are a few pictures of the family and friends. Looking forward to spending time meeting all the cousins again. The visits are so infrequent that it will be like meeting most of you for the first time. Of course being from a large family makes it hard to keep track of everyone. My wife's family has a grand total of 9 cousins!

Message from George Kingston at redoak@nbnet.nb.ca:

Boy has your Reunion 2000 site caught on fire John. I would like to second all the motions of congrats and good work etc  that I read on the web page to you John.

Would it be in order and would anyone have objections to listing all known email addresses of all the descendants of Samuel and Lillian?

I have a few but my main point here is that they be notified that this web page exists and that they should be preparing to attend, otherwise they may be informed, invited or what have you too late.

Mary has made a few great suggestions such as renting any required equipment early, because of the many reunions that are being planned for the year 2000.  Some of us here on the Miramichi could make inquiries as to the cost of equipment such as tents, campers mobile homes etc

See Ya George

Hello Everyone,

John Vickers you have done a wonderful job putting this together. It has really caught on!

Stephanie Kingston needs to stand up and take a bow too, as she has been a driving force behind this reunion plan too. George really knew what he was doing when he married her!  I think George's suggestion to check out campers, tents etc is a good idea, particularly for our children as this will be the one time they will have to live in close quarters with their relatives.

Does anyone ever use the chat line?

Mary

Hi!

Mary the chat line is 24-hours or so old however we anticipate lots of visitors in time!

Uncle George - I think it would be great if we had emails - I was thinking I could put them beside each name in the "descendants" category.

The Miramichi Kingston contingent sounds like they are going to be busy!

Stephen Kingston does have the writing flair, doesn't he!! And as for your mother, how often did you use the excuse. "Well, mom, it must have been the ghost"...

Keep the Kingston myths, legends, and other true stories coming!!

Just finished reading Stephen's recollection of Grandmother's house. It brings back my memeories of the place as well. The back stairway WAS tons of fun. I remember GrandDad lying on the couch in the kitchen by the back stair way. He used to be a bit gruff when we came running down those stairs. Probably enjoying scaring the heck out of us!
